THE JOURNEY

The GBPSSI-AAN community is proud to introduce Mr. Anil Yadav (He/Him), a highly dedicated alumnus from the Fourth Batch (2004-06). Anil is a seasoned development professional with over 15 years of experience specializing in livelihoods interventions, strategic partnerships, and large-scale government program implementation.

Anil Yadav has dedicated his career to the core mission of rural economic empowerment, primarily through his pivotal work with the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (JEEViKA), the implementing agency for the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) in Bihar.

State-Level Livelihoods Strategy (JEEViKA - 10+ years): Currently serving as Project Manager-Livelihoods Development (State Level), Anil leads the implementation of farm and non-farm livelihood interventions across the state. His responsibilities include:

Resource Mobilization and leveraging funds through collaboration with various government departments.

Formulating state-level guidelines and preparing the Annual Action Plan for NRLM.

Monitoring Agri-entrepreneurs and developing production cluster plans.

Partnerships and Innovation: He actively engages with profit and non-profit organizations, ICAR, universities, and foreign institutions to drive new innovations, pilots, and research activities, including business-to-business linkages with Farmers Producer Companies.

Grassroots Implementation (JEEViKA - District Level): Earlier served as Manager-Livelihoods (District Level) for six years, where he focused on scaling farm activities (e.g., Zero Tillage, DSR, Natural farming) and conducting capacity-building programs for block staff and field cadres.

Agri-Commodity Management: Gained foundational experience as an Associate Collateral Manager at NCMSL, where he supervised commodity movement, quality control (fumigation), and worked on behalf of banks for lending against warehouse receipts.

Anil is a key part of the Bihar Transformative Development Project (BTDP), which aims to scale up the mobilization of rural poor households into Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations across hundreds of blocks, enabling higher access to formal financial services and diversified livelihoods.
