Rajneesh Kumar Yadav (He/Him), a distinguished alumnus from the First Batch (2001-03). Rajneesh is a highly specialized Project Management Specialist with over 20 years of experience dedicated to global Social Development, particularly in combating human trafficking and slavery.
The GBPSSI-AAN community is honoured to introduce Mr. Rajneesh Kumar Yadav (He/Him), a distinguished alumnus from the First Batch (2001-03). Rajneesh is a highly specialized Project Management Specialist with over 20 years of experience dedicated to global Social Development, particularly in combating human trafficking and slavery.
Rajneesh's career demonstrates a powerful commitment to human rights, institutional development, and effective program execution, spanning grassroots to international levels.
Anti-Trafficking and Anti-Slavery Programs: Rajneesh is a leading expert in the fight against modern slavery. He served as India Country Director (promoted from Country Manager) at Free The Slaves, a prominent international organization.
Program Management (TIP-UP): He spent over a decade (2004-2015) managing the critical Trafficking in Persons-Uttar Pradesh (TIP UP) program (supported by J/TIP and Free the Slaves) as a State Program Manager for MSEMVS and DDWS. This involved overall program management in five districts of UP.
Liaison and Victim Support: His work required extensive coordination with the Allied System (police, labour, railway departments) for the rescue and rehabilitation of trafficked victims, providing legal support for prosecution, and forging partnerships for complete and effective rehabilitation of survivors.
International Development & Consulting: Currently working as an Associate Manager (South Asia Program) for a US-based International Development Agency (Transparentem), and serving as a consultant for organizations like the University of Nottingham and Purple Foundation (Nepal) in MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning).
Organizational Development: He has consulted for various grassroots organizations on livelihood promotion, health management, combating child labor, human trafficking, and organizational capacity building.
Associate Manager (South Asia Program), Transparentem (Jun 2018 – Jun 2023): Assisting with international development programs across South Asia.
India Country Director, Free the Slaves (Jul 2016 – Jun 2018): Held the highest country leadership role for this crucial human rights organization.
State Program Manager, MSEMVS/DDWS (Oct 2004 – Jul 2015): Managed all facets of the major TIP-UP anti-trafficking program in Uttar Pradesh.
